Refund Policy

The Very Useful Theatre Factory creates and delivers professionally recorded voice-overs for use on radio and television advertising and station imaging, corporate video and documentary narration, podcasts and e-learning. We record voice-overs in our Cape Town studio, specialising in non-US neutral English accents, and deliver internationally in industry standard formats via FTP or in real-time via ISDN. Payment is only requested from the client/customer after successful delivery of the product.

Nevertheless, The Very UsefulTheatre Factory offers a refund in the case of substandard quality of the supplied product or service where a dispute is lodged within 30 days of receipt of payment, and where The Very Useful Theatre Factory has not been able to reasonably remedy the fault.

Such refund will be processed within 7 days of the dispute being lodged; The Very Useful Theatre Factory will issue a Refund Authorisation and the money will be returned in the same form as the initial payment.

What steps are necessary for a customer to claim a refund?:

The customer should immediately notify us of the specific shortcomings, described in appropriate detail, and afford us 7 days in which to attempt to remedy these. If, after the 7 days have lapsed, an acceptable remedy has not been achieved, the customer will be issued with a Refund Authorisation, and can apply for a refund directly to 2Checkout.com, the authorized reseller of goods and services provided by The Very Useful Theatre Factory. The customer is entitled to a refund in full, less whatever handling fee is deemed appropriate by the authorised retailer. In certain circumstances, where time and effort may have been disproportionally invested in attempting to remedy the identified shortcomings, The Very Useful Theatre Factory reserves the right to invoice the customer for a cancellation fee not exceeding 10% of the original agreed price.

Return Policy:

As the products are tailormade to the customer's requirements, and are "intangible" recordings, they are of no use for resale.

However, it is acknowledged that the customer may have certain technical requirements that have not been met. These include an irretrievable corruption of the digital audio data on transfer, the recording not meeting the technical specifications agreed to, and the vocal delivery being of inferior quality.

Such adjustments that may be required due to subsequent alterations to the copy or text supplied by the client are specifically excluded; these can be remedied at an agreed fee.

Should the shortcomings have been adequately listed and The Very Useful Theatre Factory is not be able to remedy the faults to the customer's satisfaction within 7 days, the client is entitled to a refund in full, less whatever handling fee is deemed appropriate by the authorised retailer.

In certain circumstances, where time and effort may have been disproportionally invested in attempting to remedy perceived faults, The Very Useful Theatre Factory reserves the right to invoice the customer for a cancellation fee not exceeding 10% of the original agreed price.
